If you are on the lookout for a respite from the intolerable heat in Mumbai, or Pune, take a weekend break at Green Haven Villa in Lonavala. Located amidst the mountains, the two-storeyed villa with a patio area and an indoor lounge pool is great for a party of six to eight people.

Spend the morning on a mini-trek that starts right outside the villa, or go in for a dip in the pool for a fun start to your day. For food, you can either head out (the Lonavala mini-market is a 10-minute car ride away) or order from the menus available in the villa—will vouch for the Chinese food! You can walk to the lake (it’s a bit of a trek; ask the caretaker for precise directions) to enjoy the sunset or have your evening chai by the patio.
